This quote means that anything, no matter what, had a beginning. We all started from something, no matter what it is. The most important part of a journey is the first step, because a journey couldn't begin without a start. If you want to take 1,000 steps, you must take 1,000 steps. There's no way you can skip a step. That's almost like you're cheating through life. Each step is an important part of your journey through life.

This quote relates to the starting of thoughts, or possibilities. You may see a successful person and think they easily got their success. But in reality, that person started from the average level. You may see those stories of homeless people that turned into millionaires. That person took more steps than any other, which shows how motivated they were to succeed. They put hard work into every step they took, and even more into the first one.

No matter what, the first step is always the hardest. The first step comes with devotion, motivation, and courage. Once you get past the first step, all you need is the motivation to not give up. You already started, you may as well finish.

This quote means that through learning, you will be able to see more opportunities. In the beginning of life, you are given a mirror. You see only what you you know. Nothing goes past the mirror, only thoughts. After getting older you will learn more about life, and that mirror will slowly turn clear. You start seeing a window and understand that there is a whole world out there. You can explore new places, and meet new people.

This quote can also mean instead of reflecting facts through mirrors, you can open up a window to new knowledge. You don't have to repeat what others say, see through a window and comprehend new things. With a window you can see your future, but with a mirror you're just reflecting on your past, which is not relevant.

Without education, you will only be stuck in a room reflecting your thoughts. This quote can motivate people to learn more. Not just basic knowledge, but the understanding for the meaning of life.

This quote means you should be a leader, not a follower. Don't go where others have been, make your own path. Try to encourage yourself to go where no other has been. Instead of following another path, go where nobody has gone. Be original, show people things they've never seen.

This quote relates to many people. Sometimes, you go down an already walked path without even knowing. Just try to create new things. You should try to be the first to discover something new. Live your life based on what you want, not on a life that was already lived.

But, following somebody's footsteps isn't always wrong. That person may be an influence, but just know it isn't always exciting to just follow a trail of footsteps. It's almost like going on a treasure hunt. If you see footsteps you won't normally follow it, because that path was already used. The prize was already taken, so you have to make your own path. Making your own path may be intimidating, but you are certain to walk out a better person, with more knowledge.

This quote means that nobody knows you more than you know yourself. Not one person in this world can tell you better. You control the pathway to your life, not some other person who is not in your shoes. Dont let yourself think somebody else may know you better.

One example to this quote is when a child is told what their future is before deciding themselves. Some kids may already have a road in life made by somebody else. And no matter what, I don't think a kid would like that. I myself don't exactly know what I want to be when I grow up. Even though I don't know, I'm fortunate for having parents who are completely fine with that. I am almost 14, I have a lot of time to figure it out. I do admit, I get nervous when I see my friends having their future planned ahead of them. It's almost like I'm behind in life. But in reality, that's perfectly normal. I haven't even started high school yet. I just want to explore every possibility before I can come to a final decision.

In the end, there will always be a child who cannot handle their future themselves. I just hope that some parents will understand that their child does not have to be a mini version of them. Don't rush yourself, be who you want to be.

  This quote means that no life on this planet is worthless. We were all born for a reason, no matter how big or small the reason is. Nobody deserves to think their life is for nothing. Don't thing that you have no meaning. Just imagine, all those years of life you went through and you're telling yourself that you aren't strong? All that hardship, pain, suffering you went through wasn't for nothing! You may be seeing all those successful people, and you may thing "What am I?". Don't worry, we will all be something important to this world one day, just some sooner than others.

 This quote doesn't relate to a specific person. You may think that you only get the bad things in life. Just know that everybody deals with obstacles. Stay positive, confident, and most definitely: strong. No matter what you are telling yourself, just know, your life should not be wasted.

     This quote means that we spend so much time prepping for the future, we forget about the present. You're so stuck into getting the perfect life you don't even enjoy your life as it is. Time is precious, don't waste it on worrying about the future. Enjoy who you are right now, not who you will be.
 
    If there is one thing that supports this quote, it's school. I'm not saying we should drop education because millions of kids are worrying about that test on Tuesday or the final at the end of the semester. It's just the system itself. You study or do homework nonstop you forget that you're wasting your time. Don't be ignorant and not use any time on your education. Just know that you don't have to stress yourself out. You are spending twelve years of your life all just for your future. Remember that you can't get those twelve years back, so make the most of it.

  In the end, you have to note that every second of the day can't happen again. You can't reverse time, so make sure every second you live is worth it. Don't be worrying about tomorrow, live by today.

   There are many people who believe their life will be controlled by fate, and doesn't actually do anything to shape their future. Before you think that your life is already laid out by destiny, you're wrong. There's no successful person on this planet that claimed they "didn't really do much" to get their success. This may burst some bubbles here, but there's no actual proof that "destiny" or "fate" exists.

  This quote relates especially to those lazy people out there. These people tend to believe that no matter what, they can't change their destiny. If you're reading this and you believe that you can't change your future you are wrong. YOU change, create, and become your destiny. Not even the universe itself can give you the future you want. You have to decide what you want to be, and you have to work hard for that decision.

  We all believe sometimes that our life is already determined by destiny. Sometimes when I'm at my laziest points I try to tell myself I can't change my future just so I can just give up. I knew I was completely wrong. Don't think that, we all know it's not true. There wasn't an automatic life path that appeared when you were born. You live and learn, so you can shape your own future.

  We've all once heard this quote said from your parents. Even though it may seem irritating to hear it, it couldn't be more true. A relationship with your family is more important than anything. Your family is your blood, and you have been with them from day one. You can also say it as "Family is more important than any other." Your family is your blood, while anybody else is a friend. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that friends are just friends. It's just that many people tend to forget how much your family does for you, so this quote can really be a wake up call.

  This quote could relate to any teenager. Many teens tend to forget their parents do so much for them, and hang out with friends way more than with parents. Even I sometimes forget to be with my family. I'm sitting in my room talking to my friends and a sudden thought comes to me. "Did I talk to my mom & dad today?" I realized how important a simple hello is to your parents. Sadly, they aren't here forever, so you have to cherish all the time you have. Your family is very important to you, so do not forget that.

   In the end, blood IS thicker than water. Family comes first no matter what. Of course you can still be with friends, but don't forget to be with your family even more. Give your parents/siblings all the love you can give, because in the end, they really deserve it.

   This quote relates to anybody who has a goal in life. Any bad thing that happens to you in life is an obstacle. Everybody faces obstacles, it's a part of life. Obstacles don't happen to you, they are for you. They can be see as a trail, to show you you're going the right way. The more obstacles, the more value your goal has. You can never go the easy way in life, just try your hardest and face your obstacles.

   I feel this quote is very important when it comes to life. When you're in your worse days, you may sometimes regret the paths you chose because of the difficulty it came with.    We all know life is worth living. All the things you can do, become, and create. Everybody knows for a fact that life is worth living. But there are other things many people don't believe. Before something becomes a fact, it has to become a theory. Many people miss the fact on how you cannot have something right away. Example: It was a theory that I would ace the test tomorrow. To make that a fact, I studied like crazy to get an A. After that, I got an A on the test. The theory became a fact. You have to work hard for something you want, or else you won't get it.

  This quote relates to any human being in this world. It's just that many human beings don't know this quote relates to their life. In life, you have to think before you act. Believe you can do something, and that belief will become a fact.

   This quote means that in life, you feel great when you accomplish something people say you cannot achieve. Don't ever let anybody tell you what to do, or construct the path of your life. Many people in this world bring you down for things, simply because they themselves cannot accomplish it. The most important thing in life is control. Do not let others control you, because they think they know you better than you know yourself.

  This quote relates to anybody who has had even one accomplishment they didn't think would happen. It feels great when you achieve something others doubted would happen. Prove them wrong! Do not let others get to your head, and just listen to yourself. Negativity is an obstacle, and sometimes, people fail to break them. That is why you just be the true you.

  In the end, it's normal to come across somebody who doesn't want you to accomplish something. The real challenge is to avoid those kind of people. If you do, I guarantee you will feel better about yourself. I myself have been through those times where I have been thrown under the bus because of negative people. You want to know what I did NOT do? I did not just stay with them, thinking that they are making me a better person. I blocked those people out of my life, and now I feel 100x better.

   This quote means that it's difficult for people who differentiate to get along. MLK stated "They don't know each other because they have not properly communicated with each other.", meaning that two different people may see each other by enemies, yet they most likely haven't properly communicated. When two people are different, they tend to treat each other different than how they would treat somebody who's the same.

  This quote relates to many things, but the biggest of all is obviously racism. There are countless racists in this world judging others by their outer features. I wonder, has a racist ever properly communicated with the race they have so much hatred for? Has a racist ever heard of the famous saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover."?

 In the end, hatred between two different people is the definition of this world. I don't think it's something that can be "fixed", but this quote does really have a meaning. Try to think of the person you hate, and think "Have I ever actually talked to them?" Look at that person you dislike, and think of 10 things you know about that person. Do people actually know the people they hate, without knowing whether they might be going through hard times? Be kind, you don't know what somebody is truly going through.

     This quote means that some people may be smarter than they think. You may come across somebody who thinks they're an idiot, yet they're the most creative and smartest person you've ever met. Sadly these days theres more people thinking they're stupid rather than acknowledging their intelligence. It shows humans tend to think less of themselves.

     This quote relates to many teens these days. Almost every teenager will never admit to being smart, even though their grades and performances clearly show it. I know people that act like they're an idiot, while their grades are all A's. Again, it shows that people think the stupidest person in the world is ....themselves.

    In conclusion, (not to blame society on everything),  but I feel that if people these days talk about their accomplishments, they're immedietly downed on, because of the judgemental people on the media. So most people conclude to acting stupid rather than admitting their intelligence. I think that it's wrong to bloat about your accomplishments, but it's not wrong to acknowledge who you really are.

In life, you may come across a time where the easy path is right in front of you. Yet, the easiest path may not be the right path. It may be easy to pick one path or another, so you really need to motivate yourself and trust your heart with the decisions you make.

 As example, it's the beginning of school. You want to get all A's (who doesn't) but the path to good grades come with studying, and blocking out other activities to focus on school. Getting all A's is the right path, but it does come with difficulty. The easy path is to not study at all, and not care about your grades. Personally, I don't think that is the right path. It may be the easiest, but never will one path be easy and right.

In the end, I think sometimes you can let yourself slide, and take an easy route. But not always. To get to a wanted goal comes with hard work and motivation. So just don't give up!

    This quote means that a friend who has done something in front of you may also do the same thing behind you. Friends might do something for you, but one day might actually use that exact thing against you. If a friend likes to gossip about people to you, how do you know if they don't gossip about you to others?

   This quote relates to MANY drama situations these days. Some friends might start doubting each other since (example) friend 1 might think that friend 2 is talking about friend 1 to others, just like friend 2 is talking about others to friend 1. I can admit myself that I have thought I might have been back-stabbed by a "friend", and never knew. Situations like these are lethal for friend groups, so what really is needed is trust. Make sure you trust your friends to have a healthy friendship!
